Congressional Budget Office estimates of Obamacare have it costing somewhere between 1 and 1.5 trillion dollars ($1,000,000,000,000 - $1,500,000,000,000), depending on which plan is ultimately adopted. But the CBO has a history of grossly underestimating these types of things. John Goodman (no, not that John Goodman) put together a disturbing graph showing that these estimates are routinely off by a factor of 10 or more. If history is any guide, we can expect Obamacare to come in at somewhere between 10 and 27.2 trillion dollars ($10,000,000,000,000 - $27,200,000,000,000).
Remember, the rationale for health care "reform" is that current spending is "unsustainable" and that Obamacare would "bend the cost curve down."
